The Journey

This itinerary offers the traveler a fantastic taste of what Botswana has to offer without having to break the bank. This two-centre itinerary combines two very different game viewing experiences in two completely different settings. The trip begins with a two-night stay in the Kalahari Salt Pans region of the country followed by a two-night stay in the Okavango Delta. These two destinations offer you a real variety of activities, all from the comfort of two beautiful, rustic lodges.

Day 1 – 3 - Leroo Le Tau, Kalahari Salt Pans

Itinerary
From Johannesburg, take a connecting flight to Maun in Botswana. On arrival in Maun, you will be met and transferred by light aircraft to the Makgadikgadi National Park region for a two-night stay at Leroo La Tau. Activities here include game drives and walks allowing you to explore this beautiful and remote region.

Day 3 – 5 - Xugana Island Lodge, Okavango Delta

Itinerary
Today, you will be transferred by light aircraft to Xugana Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta. Xugana specialises in motorboat and mokoro excursions as well as guided game walks on the surrounding islands in the private concession.

Day 5 – End of Journey

Itinerary
This afternoon, you will be transferred by light aircraft to Maun in order to take your flight down to Johannesburg. From Johannesburg, continue with your onward connection.
