This delightful camp lies alongside the Maunachira River which flows through the Xakanaxa Lagoon, within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve.

Offering a welcome touch of comfort, Okuti has recently been rebuilt amidst the wilderness of one of Botswana’s prime game viewing areas. Experience game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve in specially designed safari vehicles, allowing unhindered views for game viewing and photography. Moremi is a park rich in wildlife and game viewing is consistent year round so it is ideal for the first time visitor to Botswana. In addition to game drives you can explore the delta waterways by motorboat – from open lagoons to winding channels it is a birder’s paradise, especially for herons and storks in the breeding season.

Camp Okuti has nine spacious safari-style thatched chalets that overlook one of the delta’s most magnificent lagoons, and together accommodate a maximum of eighteen guests. A comfortable family suite is also available. The bar and reading area overlook the Maunchira River, providing further opportunities for rest, relaxation and reflection of the day's extraordinary game sightings.

Moremi Wildlife Reserve

In the centre of the Okavango Delta is the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, a 3 000 sq km paradise. Proclaimed a wildlife reserve by the Tswana people in 1963, Moremi is undoubtedly one of the world's most pristine wilderness areas. The foresight of the local community has ensured that nature's web has flourished undisturbed, offering a glimpse of the divine, a veritable Garden of Eden. Moremi is a place of lily-covered wetlands, grass plains and forests, where even at the busiest time of year you're likely to be the only spectators at the most dramatic animal sighting.

Rooms

Okuti caters for a maximum of 18 guests, accommodation in insect-proofed units each with en-suite bathroom, hot and cold running water and flush toilets. Five units are twin share and two are family units consisting of two rooms sharing a bathroom, ideal for families as Okuti is a child friendly lodge.
