The Journey

This 6 day cycle tour in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve is where herds of elephant, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra have roamed the dramatic, rugged landscape for thousands of years. Ancient elephant paths provide the cycling ‘single track’, which interlace a mosaic of undulating savanna, riparian forest, rocky outcrops and wooded floodplains. Experience four days of guided mountain biking, sleeping under starlit skies, chatting round a blazing night fire and sipping chilled evening sundowners while enjoying a picturesque view. Encounter big game and explore the ancient Lands of the Giants, finishing off in a tented camp enjoying the benefits of game drives and the luxury of a few home comforts.

Day 1 - 2 - Wilderness Camp

Itinerary
After formalities are finished at the Pont Drift Border Post, you prepare your bikes, load the support vehicle and enjoy a light lunch, then set off for the 1^st wilderness camp. After an exhilarating afternoon ride you arrive to chilled drinks, a hot bucket shower and a wholesome dinner. The temporary, low-impact, fully equipped wilderness camps provide for an unforgettable nights rest after a hard days ride.

Day 2 - 3 - Wildernes Camp

Itinerary
After a night under the stars, awake early to fresh brewed coffee and breakfast then head off towards the 2nd wilderness camp. Discover new skills as rocky outcrops, sandy riverbeds and open plains test biking abilities. Stop along the way for tea/drinks and arrive at the 2nd wilderness camp in time for lunch. The afternoon is yours to enjoy and can be topped off with sundowners and a hearty evening meal.

Day 3 - 4 - Wilderness Camp

Itinerary
Today you will bike out towards Kgotla, the last camp. Testing terrain and changing landscapes make for a great ride. A filling lunch and hot showers welcome weary legs and an opportunity to sit back and relax. After an afternoon of leisure, a short walk to a nearby cliff for sundowners is a must before a well prepared barbeque style meal and long chats round the open fire.

Day 4 - 5 - Mashatu Tented Camp

Itinerary
After a sumptuous breakfast you will be collected by 4x4 vehicle and transferred to Mashatu Tented Camp for 2 exhilarating nights on safari. Here you will have the chance to view the reserve’s wildlife at close quarters from a game viewing vehicle.

In the remote eastern corner of Botswana lies Mashatu Tented Camp. With never more than 16 guests, this idyllic getaway provides accommodation in the form of 8 twin tents. Experience a variety of activities including horse riding safaris, mountain bike rides and bush walks.

Day 6 - End of Tour

Itinerary
After an optional early morning game drive and breakfast you will be transferred, by road to Polokwane, where you will board a short flight to Johannesburg.
