General information
A safari to this area is to go where few have travelled. It is not a safari for first-timers only interested in seeing the Big 5- Lugenda is a journey of discovery for safari pioneers to an emerging photographic safari destination. Lugenda Wilderness Camp provides visitors with the true quality of wilderness that is rare to find on safari today. Located in the greater Niassa National Reserve in the remotest corner of northern Mozambique, Lugenda Wilderness Camp is set in one of the continent's 'last wild places'.
Lugenda’s close proximity to Mozambique’s Quirimbas Archipelago makes it perfect for a safari and beach combination stay. Spend a few nights here experiencing this remote wilderness area before flying down to one of the Qurimbas Islands for some rest and relaxation.
Intimate and understated yet offering every luxury you could wish for, Lugenda is the definitive wilderness camp experience. Accommodation at Lugenda comes in the form of eight luxury tents that blend seamlessly into their surroundings. The tents are extremely spacious and all feature en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and a Victorian bathtub. Your private verandah is a great spot on which to sip on a cool drink and take in the views.
