The Journey

This journey is ideal for the traveller looking to combine the wildlife and plains of the world famous Serengeti National Park with white sandy beaches and warm waters of Northern Mozambique- the ultimate bush and beach combination. This three-centre itinerary commences with a three-night safari at a top luxury tented camp followed by three nights at a rustic luxury lodge on the Northern Mozambique Mainland. The trip culminates with five-nights on your very own Indian Ocean paradise island, where you can completely chill out or take part in a number of interesting activities.

Day 1- 4 – Sayari Camp, Serengeti National Park

Itinerary
On arrival in Dar Es Salaam take a connecting air transfer to Sayari Camp in the Northern Serengeti (this flight routes via Arusha) for a three-night stay on safari. Sayari’s location allows for superb game viewing, particularly during the migration season when the camp is literally surrounded by spectacular volumes of wildlife. Spend your days exploring the Serengeti’s vast plains on game drives and on foot.

Day 12 – End of Journey

Itinerary
This afternoon, transfer by aircraft to Pemba in order to take your connecting flight to Dar Es Salaam. From Dar, continue with your onward connection.

Day 4 – 7 – Londo Lodge, Pemba

Itinerary
This morning, transfer back to Dar Es Salaam by air in order to take a direct flight to Pemba on Mozambique’s Indian Ocean coast. Arrival transfer to Londo Lodge for a three-night stay. Londo is set on the coast within the Quirimbas National Park, offering guests a wide variety of activities as well as ample opportunities to relax after a long safari.

Day 7 – 12 – Matemo Island, Quirimbas Archipelago

Itinerary
This morning, transfer to Pemba Airport in order to take your short hop flight to Matemo Island in the heart of the Quirimbas Archipelago. Spend your days on this picture postcard island relaxing or taking part in a wide range of activities from sea-kayaking and snorkeling to cultural tours of the nearby Ibo Island, a fascinating half-day trip.
