General Information

The Bay Lodge is barefoot luxury at its best. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Indian Ocean it will come as no surprise to visitors to discover that the creative force behind Bay Lodge is well-known South African interior designer Marius van der Merwe.

Tranquil contemporary beach dà cor has been used to create a beach chic feel. The visual focus of the house is the sea and a virtually uninterrupted sweep of glass on its angular facade celebrates the inspirational ocean panorama. The decor is contemporary modern and the overall effect exquisitely calm and uplifting, with crisp sea air drifting in through wooden shutters.

The six suites are gorgeously light and spacious with muted colours keeping the whole effect calm and serene while enhancing magnificent views over the Indian Ocean. The open-plan lounge and dining room maximizes views and the wood, chrome, marble and natural fibers are artfully blended to create a serene atmosphere.

The hospitality is traditionally South African and staff are as bright and open as the building itself. If you are looking for a uniquely laid-back R'n'R-by-the-sea experience, this will be for you.
