The accommodation at Jan Harmsgat Guest Farm is in understated elegance and comfort in the original slave quarters, and consists of four large en-suite rooms with an adjoining lounge. Two loft rooms and the guest lounge boast expansive mountain views. Visitors are treated to understated elegance and comfort, combining the power of its original 1-metre thick walls, yellowwood details and authentic "Overberg" style.
Guests may relax by the pool with a book from the extensive library or explore the surrounding wine routes, as well as museums and heritage sites in nearby Swellendam and surrounding areas.

Jan Harmsgat Country House is situated near Swellendam, a 2 hour drive from Cape Town, on a working farm in the scenic Klein Karoo wine lands region of South Africa.
Rooms
The rooms are built in the original slave quarters and consist of four large en-suite rooms with an adjoining lounge and two standard loft rooms.

The Cottage
The Cottage is ideal for couples with young children, or groups of 4, who would enjoy being completely private. The cottage has two double rooms and shares a single bathroom. Separate kitchen available for self-catering. If required, baby sitting can be arranged either in the cottage or at the main house, where you would normally have dinner.
