General Information

Jock Safari Lodge was one of the very first privately owned camps situated in the world famous Kruger National Park, with exclusive traversing rights in what is regarded as the best Big Five game viewing area in the Kruger region.

Situated at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti Rivers, this luxury lodge offers stunning views, with the pool literally on the confluence. The twelve luxury suites evoke the style and romance of the past as well as the indigenous Swazi and Shangaan cultures. They have excellent views and sightings of animals, including the big five can be seen from the comfort of your own room or bathroom. Each has a private terrace with plunge pool and a wooden walkway to a lapa overlooking the riverbed. The newly introduced Little Jocks, offers three luxury suites and is perfect for a small group of friends or a family.

Cuisine at Jocks Safari Lodge takes its influences from the primal flavours of wild game and local herbs picked from the surrounding bushveld to the spicy tastes of visiting Arab traders, and traditional dishes introduced by European gold miners - guests can take their taste buds on a true African safari.

Game drives in open landrovers, with their professional team of game rangers, offer you the thrill of close encounters with Africa's Big Five, while the ever exhilarating walking safaris will bring you into direct contact with the smells, sights and wonders of the African bush.

Location

Jock Safari Lodge is situated on a private concession within the Kruger National Park.

Rooms

Twelve luxury air conditioned each with a private 'Sala' (outdoor lounge) that overlooks the river. Bathrooms and outdoor showers have river views. Each suite has a king size bed surrounded by walk-in mosquito netting, a small lounge and twin basin bathroom. Your private terrace has its own plunge pool. Little Jocks offers three luxury suites.

Activities

Game drives in open landrovers, walking safaris, birding safaris and guided historical tours will take you along the paths of legend and mystery. Interpret the signs, sounds and scents of wild animals in this unspoilt wilderness.
