General information

Singita Ebony can be found on the banks of the Sand River, in the very heart of the Sabi Sand Reserve. This, the founding lodge of the Singita brand, is renowned worldwide for its commitment to exclusivity and privacy, in one of the finest settings in Africa.

Ebony lodge offers robust pleasures and an earthy atmosphere… this lodge is known for its first-class cuisine, world-class service and fantastic wine cellar, and is the epitome of the ultimate luxury safari experience. Location

Singita Ebony Lodge lies in the heart of the world-renowned Sabi Sand Reserve, in South Africa. There are two exclusive properties situated on the 18 500 hectare reserve, namely Singita Ebony Lodge and Singita Boulders Lodge.

Rooms

Singita Ebony Lodge has 12 suites, 2 of which are double and convert to family suites. The luxury suites consist of lavish bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, an expansive living area with double-sided fireplace, mini-bar and fridge, private wooden leisure decks with a private plunge pool. All suites are air-conditioned and also offer the option of ceiling fans. Rooms have direct dial telephones, and the library has two computers and direct internet links.

Activities

The Sabi Sand Reserve gets its name from the perennial Sabi Sand River and the area is renowned for its diversity and concentration of big game. Enjoy superb game viewing, either from the back of a game drive vehicle, on a walking safari or from the balcony of your private suite. Other activities include seasonal fishing, spa treatments, a workout at the gym, a visit to the African Trading Store and community tours.

Dining

The chefs at Ebony Lodge take enormous pride in using the freshest local ingredients fused with the best of international cuisine styles. Dinners are an extravagant affair and an exquisitely chosen menu leaves guests spoilt for choice. Enjoy a meal specially prepared for yourself on the nearby airstrip under the stars, or of course dine in the luxury of your private suite. There is an extensive wine cellar with daily recommendations provided by the sommelier. Enjoy a tour of the wine cellar and a wine tasting.
