General Information

Ulusaba Safari Lodge, meaning 'place of little fear', can be found amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve bordering on the Kruger. Built along the banks of the Mabrak riverbed, Ulusaba Safari Lodge is a romantic, rustic style lodge which offers a unique combination of superb game viewing and fabulous leisure facilities.

The level of style, comfort and service combined with unsurpassed game viewing truly creates the ultimate luxury safari experience and everyone at Perfect Africa agrees that this is quite literally a must for anyone coming to the Kruger Park area.

The luxury rooms at Ulusaba Safari Lodge are built 'tree house' style and you really get the feeling of being at the heart of life in the bush. The Elephant and River Rooms are accessed by specially designed wooden swing bridges which pass through treetops allowing safe access to your rooms while giraffe and elephant amble below. Every room has a private sundeck which provides fascinating views of the animals as they stroll past on their way to the nearby watering hole.

The safari experience at Ulusaba is incredible. You are likely to come face to face with lion, leopard, giraffe, rhino, zebra, buffalo, cheetah, kudu, hippo, and the mighty elephant, and you can choose whether you would like to venture out on foot or in the private safari vehicles. Rangers at Ulusaba are the cream of the crop and their extensive field knowledge adds another level to your safari experience.

At the main lodge Ulusaba guests areas include spacious lounges, bars, dining areas with impressive open fireplaces, swimming pools and sundecks overlooking the most unforgettable views, and even two tennis courts.

Wooden swing bridges and candle-lit dinners in the Boma are part of the charm and splendour of Safari Lodge. Dinner is served in the traditional safari manner and can be enjoyed in the contemporary dining room or outdoors by the warmth of the Boma fire, where the local Shangaan staff welcome the opportunity to impart their legacy of African knowledge.
