The Journey

Day 1 - 4- Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, Cape Town

Itinerary
On arrival in Cape Town you will be met by a Perfect Africa representative and transferred to the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa for a three-night stay. Take in the spectacular ocean views and pamper yourself in the award winning spa.

Day 4 - 6 - Rovos Rail, Luxury Train Journey

Itinerary
This morning you will be collected from the Twelve Apostles and transferred to Cape Town Station to board Rovos Rail. For many visitors to South Africa, there is no finer way to see the country than on the popular 48-hour weekly journeys between Pretoria and Cape Town. This 1600-kilometre journey you travel through the grasslands of the gold rich Highveld to the haunting barrenness of the Great Karoo. Trundle through the spectacular mountain ranges and scenic wine lands of the Cape. Highlights also include a visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein and a stop is also made in Kimberley providing an opportunity to enjoy a city tour and a visit to the Mine Museum and the world's largest man-made excavation, the Big Hole.

Day 6 - 9 - Madikwe Hills, Madikwe Game Reserve

Itinerary
On arrival at Pretoria Station you will be met and transferred to Johannesburg Airport for your flight to Madikwe (please note the afternoon flight does not operate in May, June and July - you would therefore either need a road transfer or overnight in Johannesburg if you are traveling during these months). Check in for your one hour flight to Madikwe Private Game Reserve where you spend three nights at the beautiful Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge which includes two game drives per day.
