Sun City's flagship hotel, The Palace of the Lost City, is surrounded by the stark ruggedness of the Pilanesberg region of South Africa. Hemmed in by rocky mountains and guarded by the legendary Big Five - lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo - the Palace is a lost paradise in a safari wilderness.

The Palace of the Lost City takes its architectural and interior themes from a lavish lost African tribe fantasy. In its position at the head of the Lost City, The Palace is set amid 25 hectares of botanical jungle with over 1 600 000 plants, trees and shrubs surrounding it and has achieved Botanical Garden status. The jungle is threaded with paths meandering past cascades and waterfalls, lakes and pools and a variety of water-borne adventure rides.

The Crystal Court offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea accompanied to classical music with piano music in the evening hours. The Tusk Lounge offers a casual atmosphere with a fully stocked bar featuring a selection of wines and exotic cocktails.Villa del Palazzo offers a dining experience of regional Italian cuisine with piano music each evening. Palm Court Lounge is an elegant lounge offering pre-dinner and after-dinner drinks with a butler service. The Pool Restaurant and Snack Bar is situated next to the grand pool and serves light lunches daily.
