The Most Beautiful City in the World

The jagged spine of the Table Mountain National Park winds its way down towards Cape Point, as seemingly endless fields of rolling vineyards hug the mountainside- On the City’s Atlantic seaboard, one of the world’s most scenic passes, the Chapman’s Peak Drive, clings on perilously to the mountain side as its cliffs fall away into the imposing Atlantic. Continue onwards and the Cape Peninsula’s beaches and quaint villages unfold before you.
There is simply so much to do in Cape Town that it’s virtually impossible to sample all of the city’s attractions in one visit. Whether it be taking the cable car up Table Mountain, sipping wine in the city’s Constantia Winelands or shopping in the bustling Waterfront, there will never be a dull moment in Cape Town, this most stunning and welcoming of destinations.

Table Mountain dominates Cape Town and is undoubtedly one of the country's most iconic landmarks.The mountain is famous for its extra-ordinary floral biodiversity, mainly fynbos. Table Mountain alone has over 1500 species of plants, roughly the same number as are found throughout the entire British Isles. Table Mountain National Park is the richest corner of the Cape Floristic Region. Stay in the City Bowl for quick access to the mountain.

When to travel
Cape Town has a Mediterranean climate and is an attractive place to visit at any time of the year - each months has its own appeals.
There is always something happening in Cape Town or its immediate surrounds so there will never be a dull moment.
Summers (Nov - March) are very hot and sunny. A welcomed wind known as the 'Cape Doctor' provides a breeze to the very hot days.
March through to May is a fantastic time in Cape Town as the wind is much more gentle and generally has perfect warm weather (not too hot, not too cold).
Winter (May to Aug) is cooler and brings rain however the wet spells are invariably broken by brief and delightfully unexpected intervals of warmth and welcomed sunshine. Winter is also the season when the whales begin to visit. The sunsets in winter are amazing!
August to November time is can be quite unpredictable however is a lovely time to visit. There are beautiful sunny beach days with random outbursts of rain which usually pass by very quickly.
Getting there
Cape Town International Airport has daily international flights coming in from the all over the world.
Direct overnight flights are available from the United Kingdom and being in a similar time zone there is no jet lag to worry about.
From the United States you can fly directly to Johannesburg and connect onto a 2 hour flight to Cape Town OR you can fly via London.
The main airlines flying into Cape Town include British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, South African Airways, KLM, Air France and Lufthansa.
Getting around in Cape Town is very easy - either hire a vehicle (the mountain makes it very easy to navigate) or use transfers, tours and taxis. We can assist you with all of these.
Cape Town Airport is 22km from the city and is accessible from the N2 national highway.
The Rikki taxis are a quick taxi service that cover most of the central areas.
