General information

Nestled amongst the coffee plants of the largest plantation in Tanzania is the Arusha Coffee Lodge. Arusha Coffee Lodge is the finest lodge available in Arusha, the gateway Town to the Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit. Guests will be rewarded by this cosy and serene lodge with excellent food, comfortable furnishings and superb coffee.

The lodge consists of twenty en-suite luxury chalets which are designed around the original plantation houses, lavishly furnished with a split level living area and open fires. Each chalet is spaced throughout the lush coffee grove to ensure privacy and solitude. One of the nicest features of the chalets is the private wooden deck overlooking the plantation, where Vervet monkeys can often be seen clambering around the nearby area.

The main lodge structure and area is large and attractive. There is a swimming pool and spa area behind the reception and restaurant. Arusha Coffee Lodge is home to the highly regarded Redds African Grill House, serving a variety of delicious cuisine, most of which is supplied by local farms.

Location

The lodge is located on a large coffee plantation strategically located on the western edge of Arusha town, 5 minutes from the Arusha Airport.

Rooms

20 plantation houses are designed around the original houses, lavishly furnished with a split level, fire place and spacious verandah. The rooms have a mixture of 10 twin and 10 double beds, with mosquito netting hanging from a spacious wooden frame. The décor is earth colours which is the concept used in plantation houses, fire place, wooden floors, low lighting, and woven floor rugs. The bathrooms are spacious, with basin, bath tub, shower, hairdryer and bath robe.

Arusha

Arusha is a delightful little town tucked away at the foot of the impressive Mt Meru and has become the official gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari circuit. Most visitors spend one evening here either at the beginning or at the end of their safaris. Arusha is a lovely, peaceful place in which to break your journey and also boasts some of the best craft markets in East Africa.

Dining

The main dining room is next to the lounge and carries the same theme and décor. It is spacious, airy and glass windows let in a lot of light looking onto the pond and gardens, giving the restaurant a pleasant atmosphere during the day and at night, the soft furnishings and lighting give it a relaxing atmosphere.
The terrace and individual dining decks extend from the main dining room, a pleasant outdoor dining experience and with a pizza oven to add on to simple and refreshing a la carte menu.
