General information
It is difficult to imagine a more spectacular setting for Lake Manyara Serena Lodge - on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the stunning Manyara soda lake. Lake Manyara Serena Lodge certainly commands amazing panoramic views.
Designed to reflect the brilliance of Lake Manyara’s unique birdlife, the Lodge draws on an inspirational architectural design that melds swooping avian curves with the gentle concentric patterns of traditional Maasai ‘Bomas’ (encampments) .
The ambiance of the Lodge is a fusion of lakeside tranquility, towering volcanic splendour and adventure-packed sporting activity. Each of the 67 spacious guest rooms at Manyara Serena Lodge has a private balcony with panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley and the soda lake of Manyara.
For those who wish to observe big game the area has long been known for its tree-climbing lions, while ornithologists from around the world come to observe the masses of pink flamingos and great birds of prey around the lake.
