Beyt Al Chai is a traditional house built on three floors and was at once a tea house. Perfectly located on the famous Kelele Square this exceptional boutique hotel offers the whole of Stone Town on a silver platter to its guests.

Only a few paces from the sea, the house is cool and breezy and the top floor bedrooms have a wonderful sea view so you can experience the breathtaking sunsets of the Stone Town from the comfort of your room!

Guests are within easy walking distance to all the attractions of Zanzibar town and in the evenings, all the restaurants are very nearby. Each of the 6 fully en-suite bedrooms and suites are completely unique. The Beyt Al Chai restaurant has become the finest dining establishment within Zanzibar's Stone Town. The Restaurant offers a fusion of Zanzibar and European Cuisine. Ideally located on the ground floor section of the Hotel, un-intrusive to guests of the House but providing them an opportunity for first class dining. Benefiting from the shade of ancient trees and the serenity of the Indian Ocean, Beyt al Chai Restaurant is the perfect place to relax and enjoy fabulous cuisine.

Rooms

The 6 bedrooms and suites are divided into three categories each with their own character. 2 Sultan Rooms with private bathrooms and a superb sea view; 3 Prince Rooms with private bathroom and separate dressing room; and 1 Princess Room, slightly smaller with a good size bathroom.

Stone Town

Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar and little has changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses whose original owners vied with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings. You can spend many idle hours and days just wandering through the fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways.
