Fly-In Safaris
There are many reasons why we recommend the fly-in safari experience. The majority of our safari lodges and camps are in such remote and picturesque regions, that flying in to them is by far the easiest option. This greatly reduces travel time and offers the added bonus of affording the traveller some spectacular scenery and game viewing from the air. There is no greater thrill than to leave the hustle and bustle of the world behind and arrive by air in the heart of the African bush.
What to expect on your Fly-in Safari
- The flights into the Game Reserve can often be one of the unexpected highlights of the trip!
- Fly-in safaris can shorten transfer and journey times by many hours in some cases and for those on one or two week holidays, this can make all the difference.
- Many of the best game viewing regions are inaccessible by road.
- The more remote the region, the more likely it is to be unspoilt and untouched by civilization- the game viewing experience will thus be far better than in any parks close to towns or cities.
- Flying between camps enables the traveller to experience a wide variety of different landscapes and experiences in a short space of time.
- Very often, flying between camps can be cheaper than a road transfer.
- For your fly-in safari, you usually land on the lodges own airstrip where you are met by your game ranger in a 4x4 vehicle to begin your safari.
