General Information

Islands of Siankaba is a luxury lodge which occupies 2 private islands in the middle of the mighty Zambezi River. It is situated between the magnificent Victoria Falls and the world renowned Chobe National Park.

There are 7 secluded chalets which have been uniquely designed to maximize comfort and privacy. The quirky design incorporates the use of natural materials that blend in with the feel of the surrounding bush and beauty of the riverine setting. The unique feature of the lodge is the series of walkways and bridges that link the 2 islands together.

Location

The Islands of Siankaba comprises of two densely forested sand islands in the Zambezi River, just 24 miles upstream from Victoria Falls.

Activities

There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity of the lodge. The village tour, escorted by one of the local staff from the area, is extremely worthwhile and gives a good insight into the role of positive tourism in community development. Mokoro trips in locally-made dugout canoes, leisurely sunset pontoon cruises to spot drinking game and waterbirds, self-guided island forest walks, fabulous fishing and de-stressing African massage are all available to Siankaba guests. Also, trips to Victoria Falls are a must.

Rooms

The Islands of Siankaba has seven luxurious tents raised up above the ground in the tree canopy. The uniquely designed chalets are constructed of teak and custom-made canvas tenting. Private balconies extend over the river and all chalets have Victorian baths and showers. Finishing is of an extremely high standard using imported fittings to compliment the natural feel of the construction materials used.
