General Information

Little Mombo is a five-star extension of the larger Mombo Camp in the Moremi Game Reserve Botswana. Big game viewing is of an exceptional standard in this part of the world and Little Mombo overlooks a floodplain.

There are 3 luxurious guest tents with two twin beds in each.Custom linen enables all the twin beds to be easily converted into a king seized bed on request. The camp is built under a shady canopy and these spacious tents have en-suite facilities, an outdoor shower and individual sala.

Little Mombo is situated on Mombo Island sharing the same island as its larger sister camp, just off the northern tip of Chief’s Island, in the Moremi Game Reserve.

The three tented guest rooms and connecting walkways are raised up to two metres off the ground, allowing game to wander freely through the camp – but at the same time allowing for guest safety. The rooms are comfortably furnished, spacious and well appointed and have en-suite facilities under canvas – and an additional outdoor shower for those who enjoy a shower under the stars. The dining room, pub and living area overlook the open plain in front of the camp and there is a plunge pool for relaxing in the heat of the day

Wildlife in Numbers

The sheer numbers and diversity of mammals found in this area all year round simply defy description, from herds of buffalo to the diminutive steenbok, a pretty dwarf antelope species. Elephant, impala, spotted hyaena, lion, leopard and cheetah are all found here and even small predators like serval and side-striped jackal are occasionally seen.
