General Information

This landmark Cape Town hotel is located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront adjacent to Nobel Square, and has spectacular views of Table Mountain and the working harbour.

This historic property dates back to 1904 and was converted into a luxury hotel in 1990. It is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870, when Prince Alfred officially opened the Breakwater Basin – today’s V&A Waterfront. This elegant hotel with a fine reputation for service excellence, offers 94 well appointed bedrooms which are either Mountain or Piazza facing. Specialising in seafood, OYO Restaurant & Cocktail Bar has perfect views and a sought after quayside terrace for alfresco dining.

Location

The hotel is located right in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, alongside the vibrant working harbour. The hotel is just a short walking distance away from the many restaurants, shops, bars and other attractions that the Waterfront has to offer.
