General Information

The White Elephant Safari Lodge is in the Pongola Game Reserve that overlooks the western escarpment of the Lebombo Mountains in Northern Zululand, Kwa-Zulu Natal.

This four star safari lodge was originally built in the 1920’s and still retains the feel of safari travel in the days gone by. It is a 16 bedded lodge with a rich history and a romantic ambience. The 8 luxurious safari style tents all have en-suites with an outdoor canvas shower, private veranda and a a personal bar.

Location

The lodge is located in the beautiful Pongola Game Reserve, overlooking the western escarpment of the Lebombo Mountains, Lake Jozini and the endless savannah woodland of Northern Zululand.

Rooms

Eight luxurious safari-style tents, each with en-suite bathroom, outdoor canvas shower, private veranda and personal bar, ensure a secluded retreat in unspoilt savanna bushveld teeming with game and birdlife. Unwind with dusky birdcalls, moonlit vistas and the distant gentle lapping of water.

Dining

Sumptuous meals are served at the main house (a restored colonial homestead) on the wide verandah, in the dining room, garden or on the wooden deck alongside the swimming pool.
